Virtual Event for Undergrads with Heterodox Academy

On Sunday, February 7th we started the month off with a bang! Together with Daniel Kaos of Heterodox Academy, we hosted a virtual event specifically for undergraduate students. We had students from a variety of schools and locations in the U.S., as well as from Canada and Germany. We covered a multitude of topics including mental health concerns in farming communities, cultural perceptions and how they affect collective identity, how society addresses past faults or prejudices, and much more! This was truly one of the most exciting and interesting events that we have taken part in, and we look forward to working with Heterodox Academy to put on others in the future.

FreeIC Welcomes Allison Runes to the Team

After several months without a specialist at the helm of our digital and social media efforts, we are very excited to announce that Allison Runes will be joining our team as our Digital Marketing Manager. Allison first encountered FreeIC in 2018 when she attended an event in San Francisco with her family. Professionally, Allison has experience growing the social media presence at Redbull on platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok, and she is thrilled to join FreeIC and help people from all walks of life experience the value of authentic, meaningful conversations. Outside of work Allison enjoys spending time playing her guitar and singing. From her digital insights to her fun personality, we at FreeIC are happy to have her on board with the movement.

FreeIC Monthly Virtual Connect

We at FreeIC have been building communities around the world. From holding signs on city streets to gatherings on college campuses, to virtual events with Rotaract and Heterodox Academy, we have created thousands of conversations and connections. Though this community is big, it has been somewhat siloed. That is, until now. FreeIC is very excited to announce the beginning of our monthly virtual connect! Beginning Sunday, March 7th, at 10 a.m. PST, FreeIC will be hosting a virtual event for all of its community members to attend. Whether you have participated before, or have watched others and always wanted to attend, this is a perfect opportunity to experience the full FreeIC community!
